SHARING + STORING
The simple idea behind
englishteaching.co.uk was (and still is) to share and store good quality teaching
resources, and to stop wasting time reinventing the wheel.
Thanks to the excellent resources,
lesson plans and schemes of work contributed by those generous (and brave
enough!) to hit the send button in those early web days, my idea was
realised. Without your talents and generosity, the idea behind
englishteaching.co.uk would never have come to fruition.
Thank you
to our first teacher authors and contributors.
£ARN + LEARN
Since
those early web days, englishteaching.co.uk pioneered and launched the
£ARN + LEARN scheme in January 2002. Our ethos of sharing remains
central to this scheme.
Quite simply,
you share your
wonderful resources and talents and we share the site's subscription
income; when you send us your materials we send you a no nonsense,
upfront fee. We know
that the best people to develop resources for practising subject
specialists are practising subject specialists. So, please keep
sharing -
just like the amazing teachers who have already contributed under our
£ARN + LEARN scheme.
Thank you to our
£ARN + LEARN teacher authors and contributors.
TARGET 2005
In 2005 we hope to add at least
1000 pages of quality resources to the site. Please
contribute to englishteaching.co.uk and help us achieve this.
PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO ENGLISHTEACHING.CO.UK
So, please take the time to share your
approaches to the teaching and learning of English with your
colleagues around the world. Inspire new and experienced
teachers alike with the successful scheme of work you've got tucked away in your
top drawer. Contribute that must have
series of lesson plans. You know the ones - they're lurking in your
copious cupboard. Shine and polish the fantastic resources
that are currently gathering dust on your desktop and submit
them for publication. Think of
englishteaching.co.uk as your online, Departmental
filing cabinet and file those resources away from the clutter of the classroom.
