Dear Colleagues

Further to last month’s announcement regarding TSL Education’s acquisition of englishteaching.co.uk, I would like to thank you for your emails of congratulations and also your shared enthusiasm.   

YOUR FEEDBACK

We are still reviewing your feedback but your main request, for the resources to be made available free of charge, has now been actioned.  As a result, and from today's date, (19 Jan 2010) we are no longer accepting new membership subscriptions on the englishteaching.co.uk website.

All FuturePay Agreements have now been cancelled and your user account details (user name and password) for englishteaching.co.uk will be deleted on the anniversary of your original subscription.  Please DO NOT renew cancelled / expired FuturePay Agreements.

 

TES CONNECT SECONDARY ENGLISH CHANNEL

Resources from englishteaching.co.uk are now available on the TES Connect website via the secondary English Channel - www.tes.co.uk/english To access the resources, and if you are not already a member, you will need to register with TES ConnectThis is free and quick to do.

We are still in a period of transition and are currently working on a new navigation structure for the TES English Channel.  In the meantime, and for ease of use, englishteaching.co.uk resources are also listed separately here: www.tes.co.uk/tes-english

 

CURRENT MEMBERS OF ENGLISHTEACHING.CO.UK

If you are a current subscriber and member of englishteaching.co.uk, your access to englishteaching.co.uk will continue uninterrupted until the expiry of your current membership as we work to create a comparable, but improved, navigation structure on TES English.  As soon as this is up and running, the englishteaching.co.uk website will redirect to TES English.  We will keep you notified regarding the same via online newsletters.  Please note that we will no longer be updating content on englishteaching.co.uk: this year, new resources and content will be added to TES English.  See you there!

Thanks to the support and investment by TSL Education, please note that you are free to cancel your current membership with englishteaching.co.uk.**  Please email us by the end of February 2010 if you would like to request a refund and arrange cancellation of your englishteaching.co.uk membership.  Successfully requested and approved refunds will be issued by the end of March.

** Partial refunds will be issued based on unexpired annual membership.

1 - 3 months remaining = £5 refund

4 - 6 months remaining = £10 refund

7 - 9 months remaining = £15 refund

10 - 12 months remaining = £18 refund

WELCOME to FRETWEB englishteaching.co.uk, one of the UK's premiere online resources for Teachers of English.

 

englishteaching.co.uk provides and publishes printable and editable teaching resources, worksheets, lesson plans and schemes of work for teachers of English Language, English Literature, Media and Drama @ secondary level.   More info.

 

All materials are developed and produced by practising subject specialists and, as an online resource, englishteaching.co.uk's collection of teaching resources and materials is ever-expanding.

 

At Key Stage 3, englishteaching.co.uk is organised according to the UK National Curriculum Orders for English covering reading, (poetry, prose, drama, media, non-fiction) writing and speaking / listening in the relevant key stages. 

 

At Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A Level) our English Language and English Literature teaching resources cover coursework, examination and revision tasks and work packs on a wide range of examination set texts, authors, playwrights and poets.  We publish teaching resources for use with the following examination boards:  WJEC, AQA, Edexcel and OCR. 

 

 

THE DRAMA ROOM

Thanks to our talented and generous (Drama) teacher authors and contributors, we also have a growing bank of drama teaching resources in The Drama Room. 

 

 

PDF, WORD & POWERPOINT TEACHING RESOURCES

Our English Teaching resources are available as photocopy and print masters and are stored in PDF format.   In response to your requests, we also supply  WORD versions of resources.  So, as a user of englishteaching.co.uk you have access to thousands of completely editable teaching resources, worksheets, lesson plans and schemes of work.  With all word and / or powerpoint resources you can:

  • amend, revise and add to resources - change font, graphics and colour schemes, etc;

  • adapt and differentiate teaching resources - specifically target SEN and GAT pupils;

  • integrate resources more effectively in line with departmental schemes of work;

  • adapt resources to create interactive whiteboard and / or PC-based resources and tasks.
